Here´s Guests of the Nation from the great night in Belfast last year.

Enjoyed a few days in Belfast before and after the Con. Great meeting everyone and putting faces to the names. Wonderful tour of the North coast with StefanF the following day. Happy Memories...

Using a capo allows simpler chord shapes to be used. Found this text and have tried it - works fine!

Rescue Me was recorded using a capo on the second fret and using a standard D shape. If you follow this you'll need to use D, C and G followed by A, G and D and then for the chorus use D,G,Em,A and D. There's a sneaky little chord used for the "..busily climbing my family tree" bit, but it can easily be achieved by holding the D shape while removing your first finger, thereby leaving the third string open. No capo? Don't worry. Just play it in D.

Text originally said capo on third fret but second fret is better/correct.

Your money is as good as gone! :)

Ok Stephan,
here are the connections:
09.11.2019, Fall of Berlin Wall, 30. Anniversary.
Berlin Wall Song (another Version here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwPXfYkta6Y originally an american civil rights song I read somewhere)
which was the B Side of the Zen Alligators Single „Who can that someone Be?“
The Zen Alligators played Cork Institute of Technology 1980 or 1981.
At another function at the college 1980 or 1981, unplanned appearance of 3 students on stage.
Asked how the were to be announced, and not having a name, someone suggested „the Chicken Supper Trio“ (They were actually three quarters of a band called Deuce).
They played the Zen Alligator´s song „Who can that someone Be?“
If memory serves me correct I was the singer!

Germany today celebrating the 30th Anniversary of fall of the Berlin Wall. An old song (with a bit of history behind it) given new life by the Zen Alligators (B Side of Who Can That Someone be - also spontaneously played live at CIT Cork in the very early 80s by a band named (also spontaneously christened) The Chicken Supper Trio, whose members (including myself) shall remain anonymous.

Waited till now to read the review, no time today, wanted to savour it properly. Looks like it was really something! Great Photos over on the facebook side. Recognised quite a few faces from the con last year (Admin too!). Nice to see the maple necked bass getting some fresh air. Well done Taff! Even for those who were not there, nice to experience second hand!

All the Best,

Mike

Viel Spass (much fun) to everyone going to the Con tomorrow and Sunday. The Twin and I are going to hog the sofa and watch return of the Dancehall Sweethearts and The Road to the O2.

Best to all,

The gremlins are at it again. 2nd try.

Well done Taff, Can´t be there myself, too much on at the time at this end. If its anything like the last one it will be brilliant.

Happy Paddys Day all. Thanks for the link John. One of my favourite horslips tunes.

Typical irish weather here in Stuttgart today.

Remember recording that on a Cassette from the TV at the time. Played it for years. Probably still have the Cassette. Pressed Pause between Mad Pat and Blindman resulting in a "woosh" noise between Songs - cant get it out of my head. Think I recorded Johnnys wedding as well at the time.

Thanks for the Link.
