Most of you probably already know but Jim Lockhart's Wife ,Frances, sadly passed away yesterday after battling illness.

I got a ticket because someone (RVR) had a spare and asked Admin if he could suggest someone worthy of it ....I had tickets for the warm up gigs and could not go . I had let admin know and he appreciated the fact that I had told him whereas others had tickets and did not inform him they were not going . He remembered this and suggested me. I got to meet him for the first time at the gig and life was never the same again !

I know it's not the day but going through old stuff from the attic and found this.

A blast from the past ,17 March 2011 to be precise. A fantastic evening in Belfast Waterfront recorded for posterity on "Horslips Live with the Ulster Orchestra."
For myself I met a lot of the Horslips Family for the first time.

We have just been advised that The Legendary Horslips show at St Columbs Hall, Derry which was due to take place on the 4th and 5th of December 2020 has been rescheduled due to COVID-19.


What Now?

The event will now take place at the same venue.

Tickets originally for the 4th December 2020 will be valid for the rescheduled show on Friday the 19th March 2021, show at 8pm.

Tickets originally for the 5th December 2020 will be valid for the rescheduled show on Saturday the 20th March 2021, show at 8pm.

All tickets remain valid for the rescheduled show

yes saw that Stefan, saw in the Lyric last year and there was supposed to be a repeat run from May but virus stopped that. Brilliant play, I know most of the characters depicted in it !

Cannot believe a year has passed since Horslips Con 2019 took place. I still remember getting a call from Sean of CQAF in January asking if I could repeat the Con 2018 for him. Only too delighted to do so as were the lads and particularly when I asked Pat to support thereby enabling a dream gig for me and others. And making my idea of them playing together a reality. I had asked Pat to join for the 2018 Con but he was playing a gig that night.
So here is the King of the Fairies video from me sitting in front of the safety barrier with a clear view ! Enjoy. Rob

I am particularly chuffed as Barry says the Horslips Con 2018 was one of the standout gigs of the last few years. So now I can consider myself officially a renaissance man .
