Great news Taff. Tickets do not seem to be on sale yet. Do you have any news on when they will be available ?

Hello Stefan. Thank you for the updated schedule. Your comment about Horslips Live made me look again at the original vinyl album sleeve and the venue location is not mentioned at all on that. It was only in Mark Cunningham's book that I first learned that.

Many thanks Stefan. This is really helpful for those of us who do not use Facebook or Twitter.

It was a fantastic evening from start to finish, the highlight of which for me was when Barry mentioned that some people had travelled over from England for the gig and Hugh (from Inverness) next to me did the finest spontaneous and involuntary impersonation of a disgusted Nicola Sturgeon that anyone can imagine.

That is annoying, I will be flying home on the Sunday afternoon. Never mind - Saturday will be great.

Have Horslips ever been included in a "British" compilation before, as opposed to an "Irish" one ?

Hello Stefan. Do you know who the two non-Horslips people are ?

Taff,

Congratulations once again on last night and thank you for all of the effort that you put in. It was a fantastic evening and everyone that I spoke to was having a great time. We are all looking forward to the next one...

Well done Taff. This is a great effort. Stephen is doing a great job too by texting the link to the tickets. I have just bought and look forward to meeting you there. Iain

In view of the Horslips connection, some of you may be interested in the attached commentary on The Ulster Orchestra's plight, from the current issue of Private Eye.

DD,

I do not remember anything about Wailing Cocks (although I think that I may have taken penicillin for it at some stage) as I only recorded the Horslips part, but there can only have been one programme on that date so it must be the same one.

I also recorded some of the Thin Lizzy ones.

I still have a cassete tape of a Horslips studio recording for the BBC "In Concert" programme, that was broadcast on 24th February 1979. The songs played were:
The Man Who Built America
The Power and The Glory
Trouble With A Capital T
Loneliness
Sword of Light
Warm Sweet Breath of Love
Dearg Doom

Iain, I didn't find out what your travel story was for the Oylimpia, did you bring the batter half and stay in dublin a few days?

Stefan,

I did, but I will send you a personal message, as I am sure that no-one else is interested in my travel arrangements.
