Anseo!

All well here thanks Don, looking forward to getting to some semblance of normality over the next few months.....I even booked a place near Ballyshannon for a couple of nights of tge Rory Gallagher festival in June, our heroes are down to headline on the Friday night, so hopefully that might go ahead, if not we'll do a bit of sightseeing in Donegal.

Hopefully they bring the summer with them.

Yes, happy birthday to the Maestro Mr.Fean, such a strange year - lacking the musical highlights of hearing Johnny play, last time I heard Johnny was Christmas twelve months ago at whats locally known as The Gah in Shannon, a super night Johnny and the Bluestrain in blistering form.

Happy Birthday Johnny and heres to a good year ahead....Best regards to Mrs.Fean.

Heres a photo i saw that Patrick Hawe posted on Twitter. Eamon and Peter Fallon. It must have been circa 1969.

Crikey, thats a grim looking photo....it's like something from the Hungarian Uprising.

Belated birthday wishes to Mr. Carr!

All's well here digger, thanks for asking, just life's slings and arrows from time to time, but shur we all have them.
I can't decide who I want to win today's game.
I dont know which is worse, listening to the Dubs crowing about their five in a row, or the Kerry lads gloating about stopping them.

Hi Kev,
I'm sure there are better informed people than me around here, but I'd expect Horslips are second last on, with Sinead O'Connor's tribute to Shane Macgowan suprisingly getting top billing, I'd be guessing that they might be on around nine, but I'm very much open to correction.
What time is the last train back to Dublin, or have you a place to stay organised?
There doesn't seem to be any accomodation within 20km of Thurles bar ridiculously priced glamping, so myself and erindoors will drive down and back on the Friday, if you want to fly into Shannon we can collect you and bring to Thurles if you like, we're very close to the airport and it would be no bother.

Hi there digger, sorry for not getting back to you sooner....I hope the Beatle festival cheered you up a bit, it was definitely one that got away from a Limerick perspective , Kilkenny should have been out of sight in the final after twenty minutes, and simply were unable to alter their gameplan after going down a man.
Brian Cody richly deserves many of the plaudits he gets, but when Plan A wasn't working Plan B was to persist with Plan A.
Limerick got plenty of stick around the Banner for playing a weakened team against Tipp in the last round of the group stages, though I doubt very much that we could have gone much further.
Winning All-Irelands back to back is nearly impossible, unless you are Kilkenny or the Dub footballers, but Limerick would look at this stage to be a glid bet for 2020.

I see the Trip to Tipp/FĂ©ile '19 has a two for the price of one ticket deal, expiring midnight tonight.
Friday has a grand line-up , The Stunning, the Frank and Walters and some crowd called Horslips.

Two Friday tickets, without glamping , going for eighty buckaroos, see thetriptotipp.com

Many Happy Returns to all.

In as much as I'd love to be able to like The Defenders Christmas offerings, I think they're indefensible.

DTCWA is a bit of a masterpiece really.

Lovely to meet you Shugster, and so many others from these parts, some for the first time, I hope everyone got home safe and sound, epic journeys from Mike and Connie, Mike McCarthy over from Germany, the lads down from Stornaway and all parts of Scotland.
Well done to Taffy on his superb organisation, everything went off to a T, no trouble at all, great to meet Mrs Taff again. The venue was ideal, once we eventually got there after being a bit delayed by hundreds of women waving knickers in the air, I kid you not - maybe they heard Barry Devlin was in town !
A great night musically and socially, Myles slotted in brilliantly with the lads, Johnny was in sparkling form and they played a terrific set, super to hear Guests of The Nation, I had to break it to Hugh about the death of the cat, we recovered from it though.
All in all, a great night, well done again Rob.
