Just saw the promo for this new series, produced by the Irish language TV station TG4, it's a comedy based around a once off reunion of a Trad music group after a 25 year hiatus.

....the Fir Blog's artwork rings a bell.

Sounds interesting,in the YouTube clip I see they used old photos of the band Mushroom of which Aonghus McAnally was a member.Haven't been back to Ireland since the Horslips Olympia concerts 4 years ago but I always loved watching TG4,not that my Irish is great but they always had interesting programmes and documentaries.By the way how's the mare tatoo?

Ah yes Mushroom, I remember the posters for them being up around the village one year, they were headlining our "festival" - a slot usually reserved for Gina, Dale Haze and the Champions or Sheeba.
That mare is well thanks digger, her foal at that time is now a strapping big yearling filly by the same sire as last year's Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Don Cossack, she didn't go in foal last year with the Cork horse, and I remember joking that they hadn't any trouble hitting the target below in Kilkenny.
As things transpired this year I did bring her down to a horse below in Kilkenny, and Bang in the back of the net first time, so hopefully all goes well for her now.

Apologies for not replying to your Hurling message, but I had only been looking in here for a while and not logging in.
That game below in Thurles was a defeat for completely inept tactics inflicted by a team playing with slightly less ineptitude. Both bosses are gone and I would hope and expect to see improvements in both outfits, the 2017 draw is a super opportunity for Clare and for Limerick, an eminently winnable game for both with the prize of a Munster final and qualification for the All Ireland series as the spoils for the winner, interesting times ahead.

This starts on TG4 tonight at 21:30. I have seen a couple of trailers for this and it could be good. Will watch it myself tonight.

Just watched the second episode there on the TG4 player, so no subtitles tested my school Irish, very good - really warmed to it.

..... hilarious cameo by lockyjim

Digger,
The site says most content can be played outside Ireland.
Here's a link to the first show

just 4 days left. Does it play for you?

Just finished watching the first episode and will watch the rest over the weekend when I have more time.Very good and with the subtitles to help with my minimal Irish it's great.Episode one is only available for one more day.Looking forward to the rest.

Guys,
I heard the average age in TG4 is way below average - maybe 25ish. It's tech-savvy helping reverse the archaic image the Irish language had.
If English subtitles aren't automatically on you can turn them on. I was using Firefox tonight.

Finally got through the last two episodes this morning.Good day for it as there is a storm blowing and snow on the way.I really enjoyed it and it helped me to remember some of the Irish I learned at school all those years ago.
