Johnny Fean and Stephen Travers have been friends ever since Rory Gallagher first introduced them in 1975 but it took twenty years before they finally played together professionally. Johnny is best known as the guitar-hero and lead-vocalist from 'Horslips'while Stephen is best known as the iconic bass guitarist of the legendary 'Miami Showband'.The music they play together is a wide-ranging mix of Horslips anthems, iconic Blues, Irish Traditional tunes and some Sixties hits.Enjoy the sound of Horslips with songs such as "Dearg Doom", "Trouble With A Capital T", "Fantasia", etc. as well as Blues Classics such as "Crossroads" and "Statesboro Blues". The Johnny Fean Band will be Shakin' it all over Gibneys on Thursday 14th December from 9pm.

This looks like an early gig. Over at 11.30.
Very tempted, I am. But no, not this time.
I'll be keeping my eye out for the next chance.
I hope it goes well.

StefanF,

Yes it went well. Plenty of Horslips tracks in the setlist last night. We got King of the Fairies, The Power & the Glory, Fantasia, Trouble, Sword of Light, a great version of Shaking All Over and finished up with Dearg Doom.
We also got The Berlin Wall (Zen Alligators B side) as well a a few Johnny's usual blues & rock & roll tracks.
They included Ramblin on my Mind, Statesboro Blues, Honky Tonk woman, Stone Free, Somebody Help Me & Further on Up the Road.

I am sure there were a couple of other that don't come to mind right now but it was a really enjoyable gig and Johnny was really enjoying it himself.

John

Lucky indeed Johns + Rob.
I didn't go cos I had too much to do and due to the icy roads.

Long story but I swapped cars (+ keys) yesterday and when I got home @ 8pm found i was locked out and everybody was out. My phone was out of battery and No one came home until near 11 pm. Had I known how that played out I would likely gone to see Johnny's gig have been posting a few photographs of John_DD just now.
Glad it went so well. I love hearing Johnny do Further on up the road and Ramblin..
