Any one get to this ? Featured Horslips doing the Lament of Art O'Leary with Paul Muldoon. Some of us attended the original performance in the Seamus Heaney Homeplace last year. All the music was composed by Horslips and was the first new music for a very long time.

Given it took place in Dublin surprised that no-one on FB appears to have gone. There was only a comment from a Mr Devlin stating "I was brilliant".

Anyone from here want to say a few words about it ???

damn site...

In the apparent absence of any fans attending this event, unlike the Homeplace event last year, a Mr Lockhart provided the following:

"Dalkey was great fun, we played along with Paul Muldoon on a few new pieces and his wonderful translation of the Lament For Art O'Leary featured Lisa Dwan as Eileen Dubh Ní Chonall and Ruth Smith as Art's sister. Paul himself read the part of Art's father."

I must say I didn't really know this was happening. As it turns out I was in Derry & Donegal for the weekend so couldn't have gone. But if I was in Dublin I don't think I would have known it was on so still probably wouldn't have been there.
