Was listening to Going Down To Bangor and fell down a rabbit hole googling the place names and other terms I had not heard before. Found some interesting video on the Pickie Pool, info on Cave Hill and Napoleon's Nose, what a Charabanc was - kept me occupied for some time. A needed diversion.

You and Donegal have something in common. George Ford, who replaced Paul Jeffreys after his tragic death, played bass with Steve Harley and for Al Stewart, on Year Of The Cat.

Stuart Elliott the drummer from Cockney Rebel also played on Year Of The Cat.Also a great album.

There were some interesting bands about back then. Another I liked was Graham Parker and The Rumour...I have his Best Of as finding the individual albums was difficult and usually an import which cost substantially more. I met George Ford in Canada and we chatted about Steve Harley and Al Stewart. I just recalled where I chatted with him and it was in Halifax at famous nightclub The Misty Moon playing with Long John Baldry who had taken up residence in Canada for decades at that point in time. Baldry's Out was a hit in parts of Canada but he packed the fans in every time he played, no matter where he played.

Favourite Concert (should be top ten favourite concerts!) - I`ll plump for seeing Camel for the first time in 1979 Manchester Apollo, first foreign gig. Honourable mention to Live Aid, what a day and evening.

If you have an original copy of Peggy's Leg its worth a small fortune now.I have it on CD,great album.Saw Jimmi Slevin a few times playing in an Irish pub in Munich some years ago.Slade I would love to have seen live,bet they were good fun.

I sold it Digger, much to my subsequent regret. I also sold Mushroom`s Early One Morning, another rarity. Both records were in poor condition due to over playing, and I`d written all over the Grinilla album cover, front and back! Got 700 for the two of them.

That was a good price condidering the poor condition.The Mushroom album is another good one,have it on CD as well.Both albums have been rereleased on vinyl and CD,are available on Ebay.There is a CD edition of Mushroom from Korea that does a replica cover with the poster included,very nicely done.

Richochet, I bought the Camel Moonmadness album solely on the artwork. I bought the British import which has a different jacket than the domestically produced albu. I got hooked and bought the lot of them up to that point in time, around 1975-1976. I also bought the very good Magicians Hat by Bo Hanson and then bought the others, again because of the artwork. I was a sucker for good artwork including many by Roger Dean and it normally panned out well. The Greenslade album covers were also very good and Tai Phong. The Camel domestic cover of Moonmadness was not nearly as good as the British cover.
